About me

Image

I am a weaver with a passion for using natural fibres to reflect the colours and forms of the world around me. The native birds in the garden and bushland around my home studio are a constant source of inspiration and joy, and a frequent focus of my work.

The colour and texture of thread, and the myriad ways thread can be interlaced, contribute to the magic of woven cloth.

Much of the silk, alpaca, and wool yarn that I use is hand-dyed, and some I handspin. Plant-based yarns such as cotton, linen and bamboo expand the range of textures available to me.

My original designs are translated into unique, timeless pieces of wearable art on my 8-shaft floor-looms in my studio at Wistow.
